In Canto X, still in the Sixth Circle of Hell Virgil describes the belief of one of the groups, the Epicureans, they followed pleasure in life because they believe that the soul died with the body. In Canto XV, dante and Virgil enter the Second Zone of the Seventh Circle’s Third Ring, where Latini’s soul predicts that Dante will be rewarded for his heroic political actions.
